Erika Fluss Kahn 'Erika Kahn': A California painter and printmaker, Erika Kahn experienced the barbarity of the Nazi regime in her youth. Born and raised in Berlin she was banned from her public school at the age of ten and sent to the Theodore Herzl School, an all-Jewish institution. Three years later (1938) she witnessed the destruction of both her synagogue and school. Erika Kahn and her parents managed to escape to New York shortly thereafter. Erika Fluss Kahn first exhibited her fine art in 1967 at the University of California, Los Angeles. Since that time her original prints have been included in exhibitions in New York, Houston, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Honolulu, Santa Monica and Santa Barbara.
